Taxi - rates (here) are preset by the government.
Cash is King - use it for taxis, tips, ferries that do not have pre-booking, landing fees at airport and docks, checked baggage fees for ferries.
Tipping is Customary - a 15% service charge may SOMETIMES be applied to your restaurant bill. That may be split amongst staff at the restaurant's discretion. So if you like your bartender's or server's work, please tip!
ATM or Cash Points - only in Road Town in Tortola, one on Virgin Gorda. Bring cash with you if you can or plan a stop in Road Town.
Terrain - Tortola is mountainous, Virgin Gorda and Jost van Dyke are hilly, Anegada is flat.

West End ferry is a 20 minute ride and takes you out to Jost van Dyke, St. John (US VI ), St. Thomas (US VI). Check Best of BVI for any changes.
Road Town ferry is a 20 minute ride and takes you out to Virgin Gorda, Anegada, St. Thomas.
Norman Island and Cooper Island each only have 1 restaurant on, have a private ferry, and are good for a day of just beach, snorkeling, walking, and enjoying that restaurant.
